Norman Rockwell’s “April Fool, 1948”

One of his annual humorous covers for “The Saturday Evening Post.”

How many “foolish” things are depicted here?

  1. What a fun idea for an April Fools Day post. I don’t think I ever settled on a number, but the question prompted a much closer look at the cover than I would have taken otherwise.

The date is before I was even alive, and I doubt Norman would ever have believed this cover would still be scrutinized almost 70 years later (and virtually, around the world). Thanks for posting.
