A bunch of my friends are in Washington, DC this weekend, either transiting back up to NYC from the infamous annual “River Weekend” of debauchery (sorry I couldn’t make it, Russ!), or posting pictures right now from Lafayette Square.
“The Federal City” (as George Washington himself referred to it, too humble to invoke his own name) has always been a great source of poetic inspiration for many. I’m linking here to the last piece I published with DC (and Lafayette Square) as a setting:
